Writing Alone Together: A Poetry Retreat into Memory, Muse, and Magic

Required supplies: notebook and writing utensil

Each meeting will open with a particular poetic form and close with a writing and critique session in which all voices will be encouraged and appreciated. We will experience the magic of poetry in its many forms and the creative process through reliance on the muse and memory!

Dr. Pat Tyrer is a professor of English at WTAMU where she teaches creative writing and American literature. She writes both poetry and fiction and has published her work in Forms Quarterly, Indiana Voice, Penwood Review, Literary Hatchet and Readers Digest among others. Her most recent book of poetry is Creative Hearts, published Fall 2017.
